Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"First time ordering at this food truck. The worker is super kind and a salesman. They only have a few items on the menu and it seems that they pride themselves on delivering a high standard. Keep in mind that the food truck moves so it’s in the area but not exactly on the pin that Google shows. I got the Crispy Pork Belly bowl, something that they claim to have best on the island. You get a ton of rice and pork for the $20. I had the meal and then leftovers twice. Personally, I would’ve liked to see less food for a lowered cost. The pork is really good with a crispy outer and a juicy interior, but there is a lot of boring rice to follow up with. I could’ve used a sauce to help enhance the experience."
"Came for Ry's poke, but they closed on Easter so we chose Deez instead. Good portion. Poke is decent and we also ordered the steak and pork bowls for dinner. I do wish there's some green. Maybe kimchi (for the meat bowls). Anyway I did not come away empty-handed. Nice spots with other options and cute eating areas. Restroom near by."
"This was my first poke and I'm glad I went here. I was skeptical as first, but it was actually really really good. 10/10 The crispy pork bowl was killer. Just amazing. 10/10. I love the atmosphere with the food trucks all around the red picknick tables with string lights all over and reggae playing. Super chill, very aloha. There was also a little cat chilling to give you company haha The service members were chill and courteous. I didn't have to wait long for the food, and even if I did it wouldn't matter because Hawaii is gorgeous. Very glad I came here."
"Got a poke bowl. They toss the tuna in a rlly good brown sauce that’s sweet. You can also choose to get it spicy. They didn’t have many toppings which I didn’t like but they served me a HUGE portion of tuna for only $20. Quadruple the amount any other poke place will give you. Such a bang for your buck!! Also the girl serving me was super nice. Loved it"
"Let’s be clear…to get a 5 STAR review you need a couple things. 1. A memorable experience that is worth telling people about. 2. A desire to come back! 3. RARELY on vacation will I eat at a place TWICE but occasionally, there is such a place and Deez Bowls is now one of them! Deez Bowls is a food truck in a North Shore institution that includes the famous Giovanni’s (too buttery for me). You will find food trucks aplenty anchored by Seven Brothers Kitchen and Market. I ordered the combo bowl of Spicy Ahi and Garlic shrimp! So flippin good!!! The portions were generous with 6-7 sautéed shrimp with minced garlic and not overly buttered like other trucks. The Ahi was cubed small enough to fit in a good portion with light fluffy rice and the sauce was flavorful without being overwhelming! Seating is plentiful on this Sunday with picnic tables everywhere and beautiful weather. The aloha service was outstanding with Marte (Mcfly lol) and Aloe taking excellent care of me and making conversation! At the End of the Day this is a mood and taste choice out of the plethora of food trucks. Deez Bowls is a don’t miss on your way north if you’re driving on H83 and we’ll be back since my wife was pissed that she got tacos!"
"My daughter had a stomach bug so I went to go get some plain rice from Deez Bowls. The woman there gave me the rice and said that there was no charge. I didn’t tell her why I was getting it. Went back later and got actual food there and it was great. That kindness and service is what will keep me coming back."
"Best bang for your buck, lots of food, cooked perfectly and with great seasoning. Amazing service. Definitely coming back."
"If you’re in the North Shore I recommend you check out Deez Bowls. I had their poke bowl and it was super delish. Fish was really fresh and their sauce is really refreshing. The owners were super friendly and welcoming. I plan to go back again and try their crispy roast pork."
